Who's who in DCE

 

The PCs

 

 

Aulus Tullius Pavo (Brian) - a young senator, renowned horseman, excellent administrator, unconventional tactician, and Roman patriot.

 

Tiberius Decius Praeceps (Oliver) -  superfluous third son of an equestrian family, curiosity seeker, suspicious of authority, mystically sensitive.

 

Dimitrius Theophylactos Caesarius (Dylan) - Hellenized Jewish importer and maker of potions, collector of secrets, man of two worlds.

 

Lucius Cornelius Indutiomarus "Murus" (Jack) - ex-centurion from Romanized Gaul, an old soldier with a nose for trouble, his sword is his god.

 

Titus Tullius Pavo (Maiki) - a freeman client of Aulus Tullius.

 

The Imperial Family

 

Imperator Titus Flavius Vespasianus Divi Fili Caesar Augustus (Titus) - recently deceased emperor of Rome, son of the divine emperor Titus Flavius Sabinus Vespasianus Caesar Augustus (Vespasian).

 

Titus Flavius Domitianus (Domitian) - age 29, younger brother of Titus and son of Vespasian, heir presumptive to the imperial throne.

 

T. Flavius Sabinus (3) - A senior senator, cousin of Vespasian. Questioned recently in the Forum by M. Silvanus.

 

Titus Flavius Sabinus (1), son of Titus Flavius Petro, was a wealthy equestrian from an Italian town near Rome. His two sons were Titus Flavius Sabinus (2) and Titus Flavius Vespasianus (the emperor Vespasian). Titus Flavius Sabinus (2) was consul in 47AD, and executed by Vitellius in 69AD. His son, Titus Flavius Sabinus (3) was consul in 69, and is currently a senior member of the Senate. His sons, Titus Flavius Sabinus (4) and Titus Flavius Clemens, are junior senators. Vespasian's children are: Titus, b. 39, who succeded him as emperor and died in 81AD; Domitilla, b. 45AD, who was married to the general Q. Petillius Cerialis until her death in 66AD;and Domitian, b. 51AD. Titus had one child, Julia Flavia, b. 64AD.

 

Domitian is married to Domitia Longina, daughter of Nero's general famous Gnaeus Domitius Corbulo. She was previously married to Lucius Aelius Lamia, but divorced him to marry Domitian in 71AD. Their only child died in infancy.

 

The NPCs

 

Marcus Ulpius - age 28, a young senator who has served as a military tribune, client of Marcus Cocceius

 

Marcus Cocceius - age 51, a consular senator of good family, served as consul with Vespasian in 71AD. Rumored without proof to have molested the young Domitian.

 

L. Flavius Silva Nonius Bassus - senior elected consul, general who beseiged Masada.

 

L. Asinius Pollio Verrucosus - junior elected consul.

 

L. Carminius Lusitanicus - senior suffect consul for September and October.

 

M. Petronius Umbrinus - junior suffect consul for September and October.

 

Baebius Massa - an equestrian, business partner of Cn. Decius Praeceps (Tiberius's father), working on the new imperial forum, an informer during the reign of Nero.

 

Unknown slave - came wounded into Dimitrius's shop, expired after giving him a key, his corpse carried off by...

 

3 Jewish toughs (names unknown)

 

Publius Cornelius Fuscus - tribune of the Praetorian guard, he and his men recently ransacked Dimitrius's shop while searching for the unknown slave.

 

Gaius Cornelius Fuscus - older brother of Publius, senator, served as an officer under Vespasian.

 

Apollodorus of Heliopolis - Mysterious Egyptian also looking for the mysterious slave.

 

Apollodorus's master - ?

 

Epaphroditus - Emperor Nero's freedman secretary, who helped Nero commit suicide. Now a secretary for Domitian.

 

Dimitrius's rabbi - in the Transtiberim.

 

African cult priest (and thugs)

 

M. Silvanus - Magister ludi (master of games) to the emperor Titus.

 

The Juniae - Junia Calvina and Junia Lepida are two charming old ladies, the last living descendants of the emperor Augustus, as well as scions of several other ancient Roman patrician families.

 

The octopus/crocodile/bat gorgon - Does it have a name? If so, do you really want to know it...???
